German seasonally adjusted unemployment fell 8,000 to 3.971 million in March, the first monthly decline in Dec. 2000, the Financial Times Deutschland reported Tuesday. The figure, if accurate, is well below the 12,000 rise expected by analysts but in line with leaks that the unadjusted figure fell 140,000 on the month. The data could suggest the German labor market stabilised in the first quarter.
